Here's a few ways to add numbers in Google Sheets. We have a number of products being sold every day. We want the total sales of each one and the total sales of every one. So these three sales along this row, we need to add up. We'll do equal sum. Sometimes it'll even give it to us, but we can select the range B three, colon D three to say. Everything from B three until D three added up, and then it might ask to Autofit, but we can also copy paste this down and you see the reference actually changes automatically. Now we want a total of this whole column E, so we'll do. And select the entire column here. E three colon E seven. So again, the reference is from E three until E seven.

Add those all up. Now, if we want to add up some random cells , say product A on Monday and product B on Thursday, we need to hold down the command key and we can see one 20 and 95. We want to sum those two numbers up in the bottom right corner. You can see the sum. We can also see the average, the minimum, the maximum, and how many cells you have selected and holding down the command key like Wednesday, product A, product B on Wednesday, and product C on Tuesday, we can see this is 280. You can see it on the bottom right corner. We can also sum up those particular numbers. We can do some product A on Monday, comma product B on Tuesday,

and let's say we want Friday product A and Friday product B. And see, we just put, a comma between each one and have each of those references and we can add those all up.
